A versatile static model for your layout
With the Ikarus, a legendary high-ride fairground attraction in H0 scale (1:87) comes to your miniature fair! Inspired by the real prototype, this ride fascinates with its majestically rising and rotating gondolas. Thanks to the clever technology with two N20 70 RPM DC motors, an Arduino, an L298N motor controller, two reed contacts, and a small magnet (4×1.5 mm), a realistic movement is recreated.

- The gondola arms are driven synchronously by one DC motor.
- The other motor provides the lifting and lowering.
- The gondolas first rise slowly and then rotate spectacularly.
- Realistic Control:
- Two reed contacts in combination with a magnet ensure precise end-position detection.
- Smooth start and stop movements can be controlled with the Arduino.
- Detailed Design: The construction was modeled after the real Ikarus fairground ride, including realistically designed gondolas.
- Optimized for 3D Printing: All parts are easy to print from PLA filament and simple to assemble.
